Valentine’s Snowfall

Normally, Valentine’s Day is supposed to be a symbol of the coming warm weather and love and all that good stuff. But this year has been different. The weeks surrounding the “warm and fuzzy” holiday has been viced in some snowy conditions.

We at the Fog Thief group are located in Virginia so we got some deep accumulation. Unfortunately, we have yet to stick a ruler in the snow to get an accurate measurement of what we got but it was enough to cover the tires of our vehicles. Me, specifically, could only see a small black sliver of what was once my hybrid car. Thank goodness for snow blowers!

We’re not out of the woods yet, though. More snow is being called for tonight.

Our area looks to be getting the “Wintry Mix” for tonight but there are plenty of areas that will be getting straight out snow, according to Weather.com with their forecast. Areas like Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, Ohio and others should be expecting more snow tonight. It is expected that 12-20 inches of snow is in our future.

Now we know most of our Fog Thief folks (what should we call you guys? Foggers? Thieves? Any suggestions?) are spread in other areas of the US so we wanted to pull up the forecast for other areas well. Horray for the National Forecast! Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan? It looks like you guys will have the coldest temperatures coming up tonight according to the weather forecast for February 14, 2014.

Make sure to stay on top the news for your area. If the conditions are favorable, it would be a great time to go out and snowmobile. For the rest? Stay inside and stay warm!
